BMW Compact RacingVehicle Type

The BMW Compact Cup is for competitors participating in the BMW E36 Compact 318 Ti M44 UK & European domestic market cars in either left or right hand drive versions.

Engine

The only permitted engine is the BMW M44 1.9 16v. All internal engine parts must be from the M44. 0.5mm rebore permitted. Compression ratio of 11:1 permitted. Control chip permitted in standard ECU.

Suspension

Dampers may be either the standard BMW E36 parts or GAZ Gold coilovers. Spring rates and suspension bushes are free.

Brakes

Discs may be standard or standard pattern, must be of standard diameter and thickness and may be cross-drilled or grooved. Standard E36 318 Ti M44 Compact brake callipers must be used.

Transmission

Standard gearbox must be retained. BMW quickshift gearchange is permitted. Standard gearbox ratios must be retained. 3.38:1 final drive ratio is mandatory.

Tyres

Toyo 195/50 VR15 82 V GG compound on 15” x 7” or 15” x 7.5” wheels.

Rounds

There are 12 rounds in 2012, all of which are double-headers and will be shared with the 750MC BMW Roadzter series to ensure some good racing.

Costs

There is a registration fee in 2012 of £195; all drivers must be paid-up members of the 750 Motor Club.
750 Motor Club membership for 12 months is £56.00 including a joining fee.
