Vehicle Type

The SPORTS RACING & GT CHALLENGE is open to original, reproduction and replica two-seater sports cars and GT cars such as AC Cobra, GT 40, Lotus 11 & 23, Jaguar C, D & E Types & Kougar, Marcos, Porsche 911, Reliant Sabre, Davrian, Lister, Ginetta G4, G12, G15, G20 & G27, Hawk Stratos, Taydec, Dulon, Nomad, Crossle, TVR, Turner, Nomad and many other period or replica cars.

Cars run in 4 classes
A: Cars with a power-to-weight ratio of 1.8 to 2.25 kgs/hp. (see 5.12.2)
B: Cars with a power-to-weight ratio of 2.26 to 3.25 kgs/hp
C: Cars with a power-to-weight ratio of 3.26 to 3.99kgs/hp
D: Cars with a power-to-weight ratio of more than 4.0 kgs/hp

Engine

Any naturally-aspirated production-based car engine may be fitted

Suspension

Free choice of springs and dampers. Pull or push rod designs are not permitted

Brakes

Free but no carbon discs.

Transmission

Gearbox & final drive must be located in original positions. Sequential gearboxes and traction control are not permitted. Gear ratios are free

Tyres

List 1A or 1B. Wet tyres are free.

Rounds

There are 14 rounds in the season. Some will be ‘double-headers’ either on one day, or spread over a weekend. For 2012, SR & GT will be racing with the 750MC Sports Specials championship.

Costs

Registration fee for the Season is £75.
750 Motor Club membership for 12 months is £56.00 including a joining fee
