Vehicle Type (section 5.8)

The HOT HATCH CHAMPIONSHIP is for Competitors participating in 'Hatchbacks', saloons and coupés including ‘Grey’ and personal imports either right or left hand drive subject to approval by the 750 Motor Club Limited; homologation specials will not be permitted.

Cars will run in four classes based upon the original engine capacity prior to any rebore permitted within 5.7.1.

A: Modified Front Wheel Drive cars 1601 – 2000ccs.
B: Modified Front Wheel Drive cars up to 1400ccs and 1401 – 1600ccs with weight limits as per 5.14 of these regulations.
C: Modified Rear Wheel Drive cars up to 2000cc
D: Standard Front or Rear Wheel Drive cars up to 2000cc

Engine (section 5.7)

Must be the original (type) fitted to the car; tuning is virtually unlimited but no forced induction.

Suspension (section 5.8)

Springs and dampers are free, including coil-overs, provided they utilise the original pick-up points.

Brakes (Section 5.11)

Free. No ABS unless standard.

Transmission (section 5.9)

The original gearbox casing must be used; close-ratio gears are OK. Final drive ratio is free. LSD is permitted.

Tyres (Section 5.13)

Any tyre from List 1A or 1B.

Rounds (Section 1.5)

Usually 14 rounds in the season. Some ‘double-headers’ either on one day or over a weekend.

Costs

Registration fee for the Championship Season is £75.
750 Motor Club membership for 12 months is £50.00 including a joining fee.
