Vehicle Type (section 5.2)

Genuine ‘production’ kit cars, front or rear engined, specifically excluding ‘one-off’ specials. Chassis and bodywork materials and the design concept may not be changed. Cars must be capable of passing an MoT test.

Engine (section 5.7)

A): 2001 ccs up to 3651ccs two valves per cylinder with maximum of 2 carburettor chokes, plus the Ford 2000cc, 16 Valve (Duratec DHE 420) engine in its 145PS form.
B): up to 2000cc two valve per cylinder with maximum of 2 carburettor chokes, up to 1700ccs two valve per cylinder, plus up to 1600ccs 16-valve 4-cylinder production car engines
C): Ford ‘Zetec’ engines

Suspension (section 5.8)

The original pick-up points must be used and suspension configuration retained. Springs and dampers are free.

Brakes (Section 5.11)

Subject to no more than 4 pot callipers and no ABS, braking systems are free.

Transmission (section 5.9)

Gearbox and diff must be from a production car. Close ratio gears are permitted, maximum 5-speed plus reverse. No limited slip diff or similar.

Tyres (Section 5.13)

The control tyre is the Yokohama AO32R or AO48R. Rim width is 6" or 7" depending upon class.

Rounds (Section 1.5)

There will be 14 rounds in 2008, of which the best 12 count for the Championship.

Costs

Registration fee for the Season is £75.
750 Motor Club membership for 12 months is £50.00 including a joining fee.
