If you want to go racing, and you want to win races, then you want this car.

This is my much loved Citroen Saxo VTR race car. It’s been my pride and joy with no expense spared on it and has been raced in the Stock Hatch Championship. Whenever it was needy of work or parts, it had them. In my opinion, it’s was probably the best prepared Saxo on the grid in 2016.

In 2016, from 14 races it had 10 pole positions, 4 wins, 8 podiums and two fastest laps. The car lead 47% of all laps completed during the season, more than anyone else by some distance. But for a few errors on my part this car would have comfortably won the championship but as it happened, it came a very close second overall.

I fully expect this car to be right at the front of Hot Hatch Class C, being already consistently quicker than the current Hot Hatch Class C field on every occasion in 2016.

•NEW Race engine, has only done one race weekend since last refresh, developing 129BHP. Happy to divulge full spec to buyer so that it can be built to same spec when undergoing future rebuild in years to come.


•NEW Brake Calipers replaced early 2016 with braided brake lines all round.

•20L Race fuel tank 20L with swirlpot and twin pumps - this system is bullet proof - no fuel surge and mounted centrally rather than in the boot for the best balance.


•ECU: Emerald Standalone ECU with custom loom. All redundant wiring removed so easy to work on and much lighter too.


•Simpson Exhaust Downpipe, Motorsport CAT and straight through rear silencer for ultimate exhaust flow. And it gets through the sound test every time, even on track days.


•Professionally installed "Custom Cages" rollcage, welded in 6 point cage with additional legs to the front suspension turrets for increased shell stiffness (and of course safety!).


•Gaz single point adjustable suspension - setup is perfect - car virtually goes round corners by itself. Custom built race torsion bars. Front Race springs (spec on request).


•4 NEW race tyres on alloys, never used.


•6 Additional race tyres with alloys. 2 have only done 1 x qualifying and 1 x race. Other 4 are worn, perfect for testing.




Full set-up details for each circuit can be provided to the buyer. I’m also willing to do a track day in the car (at your expense) to help you learn it and get the best out of it.

This car is ready to race, and ready to win.

IT IS NOT IN MINT CONDITION, IT HAS BEEN RACED, NOT FANNIED ABOUT IN!!

IT HAS THE SCARS TO PROVE IT BUT THE CHASSIS IS SOLID - TWO WINS AND TWO PODIUMS IN THE LAST 4 RACES DON'T LIE.
