Sheppard MS750/01 750 Formula car including; drawings, jigs, moulds, spares and trailer.
Built in 2008 and successfully raced on and off over the following 9 years. With one class championship, one outright pole and win and 3 podiums. Unfortunately, the car was crashed in 2017 and I am unable to give it the time it deserves to be rebuilt. As a result, the complete project is for sale and includes:
•Complete car (crash damaged, see below)
•Complete set of drawings for every part which is not ‘off the shelf’
•Complete set of body moulds, suspension jigs etc…
•Spare set of wheels and very new wet tyres
•Huge spares package including:
oEnough parts to assemble 2nd gearbox
oSuspension parts including rear axle, half shafts, diffs etc…
oMany spares of uniquely manufactured parts
oEngine block and bottom end
oAll the bits you need at a racing meeting
•Trailer (single axle, tyre rack, storage/jerry can locker, winch)
The car pre-dates the transverse rules but is mid (rear) engine and uses a Fiat C514 gearbox driving a live BMC axle and has proven to be very reliable with no mechanical DNFs in over 45 races including 2 Birkett 6 Hours.
The accident (Cadwell 2017) has damaged the body and chassis on the left side as well as some suspension components. In order to get this car up and running you would need to:
•Repair/re-mould the body (moulds included)
•Repair or produce a new spaceframe chassis. Drawings included and some sections such as the roll hoop could be transferred
•Produce some new suspension wishbones/linkages (drawings and jigs included)
•Transfer components from old chassis to new.
Major items like the engine/gearbox/radiator/dampers/wheels/exhaust were all unaffected by the accident
Just prior to the accident the engine had been serviced with new oil, plugs etc… and a new Helix uprated clutch fitted.
There is scope to rebuild the car as a transverse engine or even modify to a bike engine for RGB or Bikesports.
