The 2021 Type R Trophy Championship & 2021 Ma7da Championship

Mon 12 Oct 2020

750 Motor Club is delighted to announce that the TEGIWA Type R Trophy and the Yokohama Ma7da Series have both been approved to run as a Motorsport UK championship in the 2021 season.

Two of the most recent additions to the 750 Motor Club portfolio, the sprint racing series have both seen steadily increasing build numbers throughout a tumultuous year for UK motorsport, with drivers in both formulae ranging from circuit novices to experienced club racers seeking a new challenge.

The Type R Trophy offers a back to basics one-make hot hatch package for the EP3 generation Honda Civic Type R, and has attracted plentiful interest both from within 750 Motor Club and elsewhere. A new ‘Foundation Programme’ for 2021 that offers novice drivers full ownership of a freshly built ready to race car with all race kit, an ARDS test, a trackday and all 2021 registration and entry fees included for just £11,995 is set to further boost numbers in advance of next season.

Offering a step up in performance but the same ultra-close racing action and affordable costs as the donor Locost machine, the Yokohama-backed Ma7da Championship shows no sign of slowing in its recruitment of drivers looking for the best blend of value for money and performance in a ‘Seven-esque’ style racing car.
