The HCS Mk.2 was originally built in 1969 so is a genuine historic Trophy car. It was completely rebuilt in 2012 with new seat belts, fire extinguisher system and Aldon electronic ignition. It now comes with a set of Avon cut slicks dry tyres and a set of Yokohama A048s both on 1 year old JBW wheels and the 4 original wheels as spares. Other features include full adjustable shock absorbers, front and rear roll bars, quick release steering wheel, brake bias adjuster, transponder and lap timer.
At the beginning of last season, a complete new all aluminium cooling system replaced the steel one and the radiator duct was improved. Also the main cockpit and engine cover was replaced; the buck and mould are included. Also replaced were most of the other aluminium alloy body panels, complete with their drawings. After an incident at Cadwell Park last year, all the rose and swivel joints were replaced on the front when new top and bottom wishbones had to be made for the offside front (made by Racekits who have the jigs if required). The nose cone was also replaced which was lighter than the original fibreglass one.
The 2 wheel box trailer is a purpose made one for the Trophy, totally enclosed with alloy ramps, manual winch, 240v hook up for internal lighting and power points, also 12v lighting run off its own battery, internal wheel racks and tool shelving, spare wheel and floor mounting strapping points.
Included are a few spares: drive belt for the water pump, manifold gasket, oil filter, steel radiator and water rails.
Also included is a quick lift jack perfect for the lightweight Trophy and a battery mounted on a trolley for starting if and when required.
Price £5,000 ono for the complete outfit! Ideal for a starter.
