Selling my Sylva Clubman Mk4 after 4 years of joyous ownership and subsequently purchasing another car for a different race series.
Sylva Clubman MK4 built in 1988.
Road registered in 1990 (Q529 OCR).
Race conversion from 1996 onwards.
I purchased the car from a friend in 2016.
Full ownership history with pictures in a folder included.
This was my first race car and my first year of racing it in Class B of Sports Specials in 2018.
I qualified first in class in my first ever race at Brands Hatch. Throughout the year, I picked up 5 2nd places and 3 3rd places, which gave me 3rd in class at the end of the year. I was also awarded best prepared car at the 750MC annual awards.
I am not mechanical, so the car was looked after by a local garage. The fluids were changed after every race weekend. The only issue since ownership has been a snapped clutch cable and 'sticky' gears which has since been re-built!
The car is almost ready to get straight back onto the track.
After being dry stored for almost 12 months, the carbs could apparently do with being set up again.
The extinguisher needs a service but is only 2 years old.
Brian James Clubman Trailer included in the price. Spare wheel never used.
1800 Zetec, Kent race cams, producing 173.2bhp. Dyno records to prove included.
