New Club team structure - and a new role

Thu 09 Aug 2012

We have recently completed a strategy review (more to come in a future Bulletin) and also confirmed the shape of the three team member roles going forward. As a result, the need for the planned Commercial Manager role has changed and we are now about to start a recruitment exercise targeted at selecting a Marketing Manager (Heritage Development).

We froze the recruitment exercise for a Commercial Manager in first quarter 2012 while Giles settled into his new role and we moved office to Donington and admin support from Sharon to Nicky. The new Marketing Manager (Heritage Development) role holder will work alongside Giles and Nicky to lead our non-racing and heritage membership development as well as providing strategic and tactical marketing support across all club activities. The role Giles plays will shift from Events & Marketing Manager to Competition Manager, with some increase in responsibilities. These changes will not affect Nicky’s role as club Administration Assistant.

We had a high quality shortlist for the Commercial Manager job at the time we froze the selection exercise, but as this new role differs significantly from that job description, we plan to go to the market again.

If you know anyone who would be interested in working with the club in this new Marketing Manager (Heritage Development) role, please ask them to advise their interest and qualifications in the normal way. Details of the role including a job description will be on the club website shortly and the selection exercise will be coordinated by Colin Chapman with other members of the board making up the selection panel. Colin can be contacted at Colin.Chapman@750mc.co.uk. Applications will close on 15 September.
