A complete racing package – the Mouse Austin 7 Racer, purpose-built box trailer, campervan and new race suit, helmet, spares, transponder etc etc. £17,000 the lot or will split. Racer, spares & trailer £12,000, campervan £5,000, rest thrown in.
Available from the end of this season (Sept) and can be inspected at Silverstone (24th Aug) and Cadwell (14th Sept).
The Mouse was originally built by Vince Leek and has been developed steadily ever since. The engine has a pressure-fed Phoenix crank, new cut-down Renault 4 pistons and rods, full race cam, Facet solid state fuel pump, Magnetronic ignition, external water pump, cut down dynamo body, electric fan etc. The car has new hydraulic brakes; West London front wheels and a choice of wheels & tyres for the rears; independent split front suspension; and adjustable gas dampers fore and aft.
It won the non-supercharged cup last year racing in the 750 Trophy series.
The box trailer is built to fit the Mouse exactly and has two new covers for winter storage, hydraulic brakes and a hand winch. The sides are in a deplorable condition and will need re-skinning.
The campervan is a 2 litre petrol van conversion based on a Talbot Express chassis with small shower/toilet, fridge, oven & grill, 240 volt sockets, awning, hot water boiler and warm air blown heating. It has recently had new brake pipes and exhaust and will come complete with all fixtures and fittings.
