This 2020 Ma7da was built during the winter of 2019 / 2020 and was a ground up build.
The chassis originally ran in the Locost series the chassis has since been fully stripped, cleaned, refurbished, modified to current Ma7da regulations, and repainted prior to commencing build in late 2019. Fitted with a roll cage compliant to current regulations which has been passed and stickered by the MSA. Fitted with a Momo steering wheel together with the appropriate quick release coupling and a ford escort quick rack.
A Mazda 1.8i VVT BP-6D engine was sourced with low miles, it was stripped inspected and rebuilt with new water pump and cam belt. This unit has been checked by the 750 Ma7da committee and is compliant to the current regulations. The engine management system was all purchased new from Kitspares. The fuel system is as mandated, the pumps are quality Facet units. The electrical system is all standard Mazda MX5, utilising a standard wiring loom that has had all extraneous wiring removed, this ensures fault finding and replacement of parts should be no problem to any competent mechanic. Ancillary components are mainly new items
Running gear – new Ford front brake calipers, pads and vented disks. Rear Ford ST disk brake conversion with hydraulic line lock handbrake. All brake lines and pipework are new as are all cooling pipes and fuel lines. A good quality low mileage gearbox was sourced and mated to a refurbished 3.9 differential. Suspension units (AVO steel) had been serviced 2 years ago and are serviceable at this time.
The tyres are used and date from 2018 but still have good life left in them.
Important – items not supplied with car that may be needed to compete. The seat, seatbelt harness, transponder and digital dash are not included in the sale. A new extinguisher may be required to comply with 2022 regulations.
