2015 Autosport International

Tue 27 Jan 2015

The 750 Motor Club was out in force at the 2015 Autosport International Show with 11 cars on display at the four day event held at Birmingham's NEC. Talking points included Tom Bell Racing's (TBR) new Fiesta ST concept that launched a revival of the club's Hot Hatch Series, whilst Barry Pike's new 750 Formula Wildmoor DM1 attracted a great deal of interest. RGB and Sport Specials version of the front engine Wildmoor design will also be out racing with us next year, with Colin Spicer leading the assault following a successful 2014 campaign with a Wildmoor bodied Fisher Fury.

Spire Sportscars and AHS had versions of their ultra-successful Bikesports GT3 and Formula Vee Dominator on display, whilst John Moore's FRS Arrow2, now powered by a 2-litre Duratec and sporting a smart new livery should be a contender in Class A of Sport Specials. Bernie Chodosh's 1959 Chevrolet Corvette drew many admiring onlookers onto the club's stand. With 593bhp on tap the Corvette and the other big bangers from Bernie's HVRA will make a spectacular addition to 750 Motor Club events in 2015.

Business was generally brisk throughout the 4 days with plenty of interest in our one make offerings from the Compact Cup, Clio 182 Championship, Civic Cup, MR2 Championship and the 5Club Racing MX5 Cup, which rounded off an excellent debut year by being voted the best new club racing series of 2015 by Autosport.
